Renunciation of Bangladesh Nationality

Valid Bangladesh passport holders living in Hong Kong/Macao may apply for cancellation of his/her Bangladesh passport as well as issuance of certificate of renunciation of his/her Bangladeshi nationality. Bangladesh Consulate may process cancellation of Bangladesh Passport in exchange of citizenship Renunciation Certificate.

Consulate General of Bangladesh, Hong Kong will receive the application and forward it to Ministry of Home Affairs, Bangladesh through Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for cancellation of the Original Valid passport as well as issuance of a cancellation letter regarding the issue.

Requirements for issuance of Renunciation Certificate:

1. Naturalization letter issued from Hong Kong / Macao Immigration Department;
2. Original Passport along with 01 photocopy of database page;
3. Hong Kong / Macao identity card copy;
4. Application mentioning present address with contact details;
5. Recently taken 04 copies of white background photographs;
6. Renunciation fees is 550 (HKD) Hong Kong dollars;
