Foreign citizens of Bangladesh origin are eligible to obtain “No Visa Required to Travel to Bangladesh” endorsement in their foreign passports. Their foreign spouses and foreign-born children are also eligible for this endorsement, which allows the holder multiple entries into Bangladesh with an unlimited duration of stay within the validity of the passport.

Applying for NVR Endorsement

To apply for a ‘No Visa Required’ (NVR) endorsement, the applicant must submit the following:

For Bangladesh-born foreign citizen and his/her spouse and children (except SAARC countries):

1. Online visa application form; (Bangladesh Online MRV Portal  //www.visa.gov.bd/)
2. Dual citizenship certificate or Bangladesh passport or Cancelled Bangladesh passport copy /National ID card issued before taking dual citizenship or birth certificate/nationality certificate issued by Union Parishad/Municipality/City Corporation in Bangladesh;
3. Foreign passport/citizenship certificate copy;
4. 04 (Four) recent passport size (35 x 45 mm) white background photographs;
5. Passport copy of database page, immediate previous No Visa Required page (if available) copy with old passport database copy;
6. Hong Kong / Macau  Identity Card copy;

For spouse/children of foreign nationality of Bangladeshi citizen:

2. Valid Bangladesh passport or Cancelled Bangladesh passport copy /National ID card issued before taking dual citizenship or birth certificate/nationality certificate issued by Union Parishad/Municipality/City Corporation in Bangladesh of father/mother/spouse;
3. Foreign passport/citizenship certificate;
4. Marriage certificate (for spouse);
5. Declaration of Relationship in favour of spouse/children of foreign nationality by the father/mother/spouse;
6. Police Verification Report;
7. 04 (Four) recent passport size (2 inch x 2 inch) white background photographs;
8. Passport copy of database page, immediate previous No Visa Required page (if available) copy with old passport database copy;
9. Hong Kong / Macau  Identity Card copy;

For the holders of citizenship of the countries of Europe, the United States of America, Australia, Canada and New Zealand by the people of Bangladesh origin:

2. Dual citizenship certificate or Bangladesh passport or Cancelled Bangladesh passport copy /National ID card issued before taking dual citizenship or birth certificate/nationality certificate issued by Union Parishad/Municipality/City Corporation in Bangladesh;
3. Valid Bangladesh passport or Cancelled Bangladesh passport copy /National ID card issued before taking dual citizenship or birth certificate/nationality certificate issued by Union Parishad / Municipality/City Corporation in Bangladesh of father/mother/spouse (for foreign spouse and children);
4. Declaration of Relationship in favour of spouse/children of foreign nationality by the father/mother/spouse;
5. Foreign passport/citizenship certificate;
